Long before Lucas was born, Clinton and I decided that it was best for our baby to be breastfed. We thought that the benefits long outweighed the amount of work and dedication that it would take to nurse. We both knew that it would be difficult, and that Clinton would not have as much of an opportunity to help with feedings.
Neither of us imagined the amount of opposition that we would encounter or the number of challenges we would face. We both thought that my ability to nurse in public was protected by the law. |
This is the international symbol for breastfeeding, or as some call it, nursing. Some mothers wear this logo as a symbol of pride, and some places use it as a way to tell patrons that they permit breastfeeding on their premises. Each State has the right to pass laws when it comes to breastfeeding, which can be confusing.
Here are some resources for Breastfeeding mothers on laws in your area, as well as some great resources to help you while breastfeeding. |
